Every year, we look forward to helping students gain entry to the Booker T., CSS and other great Upper West Side middle schools. All students who wish to apply to Booker T. and CSS [e.g.] are required to take a brief test at the school sometime from the end of January through mid-February. That test helps determine whether students are admitted to the school and what level courses they might face.
ibidPREP has extensive experience preparing students for the Booker T. and CSS tests. We have used information gathered from past exams and any publicly released information about the tests in order to create our own course of prep and practice exams for the exams. We are on top of any announced changes to each year's tests as they change in length, breadth and weight in the overall admissions process.
To the best of our knowledge, we let students know what to expect from the exam and what is expected from them. One-on-one prep is also available for this exam.
All instructors, including Stuart Servetar, are available to work one-on-one with your student.
Our Associate Tutors are gifted educators who excel at engaging, caring for and motivating their students. They hail from top universities and most have or are working towards advanced degrees.
All Associate Tutor work is supervised directly by Stuart Servetar.
Tutors will meet with your student in our offices or at your home—whatever works best. There is no extra charge for in-home visits, but an adult must be home at the time of the session.
Generally speaking, we recommend one hour sessions for all one-on-one work with students from the 4th through 7th grades, with the exception of the Hunter test. For the Hunter test, 1.5 hours sessions are often recommended.
Sessions of 1.5 hours are recommended for the SHSATs, ACTs and SATs. Most SAT Subject Tests and academic support can be done in one hour sessions.
Students may work with tutors on an hourly, pay-as-you-go basis or purchase packages of hours in advance. Packages of hours for general tutoring are discounted as below.
